Asian International Arbitration Centre
AICA was the first regional centre established by AALCO in Asia to provide institutional support as a neutral and independent venue for the conduct of domestic and international arbitration proceedings in Asia.AICA was also established pursuant to a host country agreement with the Government of Malaysia. Furthermore, it is a non-profit, non-governmental and independent international body. It was also the first centre in the world to adopt the UNCITRAL Rules for Arbitration as revised in 2010. AICA has developed new rules to cater to the growing demands of the global business community such as the AICA i-Arbitration Rules, the AICA Fast Track Rules as well as the Mediation and Conciliation Rules. There has been a tremendous interest in the i-Arbitration Rules and this is evident with AICA winning the prestigious Global Arbitration Review Award for ‘innovation by an individual or organisation in 2012’.

Jamaica Chamber of Commerce
The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based organization comprised of businesses and professionals working together to build and promote a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our country. The primary functions, however, is to ensure the most favourable environment for the effective and profitable operation of businesses. Considerable emphasis is placed on projects which will enhance the development of the wider community. The primary function is subdivided into services offered by the Chamber and specific activities that it carries out, in its role as economic advisor and business advocate.

Caribbean Maritime University
The Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) is by name, content and operation, the Caribbean region’s centre of excellence for tertiary maritime education, training, research and consultancy. The CMU was established in Kingston, Jamaica in 1980 as the Jamaica Maritime Training Institute (JMTI). This initiative was a joint project between the Government of Jamaica and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway (NORAD). The aim of the school is to train Jamaican nationals to man the Jamaica Merchant Marine (JMM) fleet of five ships.
